My approach is non-judgmental, direct but warm, and genuine. I’m here to keep you moving forward. I’m a certified sex therapist (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists). I have specialized training in: Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB), Out of ControlSexual Behaviors (OCSB), partners of those with PSB, Emotional Dependency, early attachment trauma, and recovery from trauma. I draw on teachings from Modern Attachment Theory, 12-Step Recovery, and Mindfulness to assist you in becoming more grounded, authentic, and fulfilled your life and relationships. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) trained, with a focus on attachment. I implement AF-EMDR in effort to help slow down physiological upsets. I tailor sessions to meet your current needs, work collaboratively with you to create goals, and keep you moving towards them.
General Background
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 84268) writer and lecturer. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in General Psychology from San Francisco State University, and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles. I have a Sex Therapy Certificate from California Institute of Integral Studies, training in Out of Control Sexual Behaviors from both The Society For The Advancement of Sexual Health and The Harvey Institute, and specialized training in supporting partners of those with Out of Control Sexual Behaviors. I’ve spent the last few yers taking a deep dive into mindfulness work, including courses with Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, and the institute for Mindfulness and Psychotherapy. In addition to seeing private clients, I travel around the country providing lectures on affect regulation and attachment, writing articles, and enjoying time with my family.
